About Catherine Kunbi Adeniran
A glorious daughter, Catherine Kunbi Adeniran, was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Sola Adeniran in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. She is the 6th of 7 children and grew up as a devoted Catholic with God-fearing parents. However, Catherine yearned for a deeper relationship with God and sought more dimensions of His revelation. Her journey began with reading the Book of Psalms, which ignited an unending hunger for God and the power of the Holy Spirit. She later joined the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in 2006, where her spiritual eyes opened further. Catherine is an ordained Prophet of God, a qualified Biomedical Scientist, a Senior Business Consultant, and holds two BSc degrees and a MBA.
The Birth of The Lighter Ministry
The Lighter Ministry, inspired by the theme “The Word Lights the World,” was founded by Prophet Catherine Kunbi Adeniran following a divine revelation in 2017. What began as fervent prayers for individuals grew into scheduled prayer sessions by 2018. In 2019, the Holy Spirit instructed the start of monthly Covenant Services. Despite the global pandemic, the gatherings continued through weekly prayer sessions and vigils. In November 2020, after a divine encounter, Catherine received a direct mandate from Jesus to light the world with His Word. She was also given the name “Itan-Imole,” meaning “The Lighter Ministry,” and by God’s instruction, the ministry was officially inaugurated in 2022.
Our Journey of Impact
Following divine instructions, The Lighter Ministry held its first open-air crusade in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State, in March 2023. Since then, the ministry has organised crusades and revivals across different states, including Akure, Ebenebe, Iwo, Ibadan, Surulere, Yola, and Benin. Through these gatherings, countless lives have witnessed miracles, healings, deliverances, and transformations in the name of Jesus Christ. The Lighter Ministry remains non-denominational, with Prophet Catherine actively serving as a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church Dew of Blessings in London. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the ministry continues to illuminate the world with the power and truth of God’s Word.
